Please look into this and report on it. Thank You,

I am writing to you today as a concerned American citizen and registered voter. I recently had the opportunity to observe the Republican National Convention (RNC) on various platforms, and I was disheartened by the biased coverage provided by PBS. PBS’s coverage of the event was more like DPBS (Democratic Party Broadcasting System). As a taxpayer, I was shocked to see a publicly funded media outlet display such a clear lack of objectivity.

The PBS coverage of the RNC was not only unbalanced but also misrepresented the event, its attendees, and the nominated candidate. Franklin Graham and other respected religious leaders were ridiculed, Judeo Christianity was disrespected. This kind of reporting is unacceptable, especially from a taxpayer-funded institution.

As an American, I believe it is essential that our publicly funded media platforms maintain the highest standards of journalism, including objectivity and fairness. PBS's failure to do so undermines the trust of millions of citizens, like myself, who rely on them for accurate information. At least 50% of our country was misrepresented by PBS's coverage of this event, and it is our collective responsibility to demand change.

I urge you to take immediate action to address this issue. I propose that PBS undergo a thorough review and reform to ensure that its management and journalists are held to the highest standards of objectivity. This can be achieved by:

1. Conducting a comprehensive audit of PBS's editorial policies and practices to identify areas of bias and imbalance.

2. Implementing measures to ensure that PBS's leadership and journalists reflect the diversity of American viewpoints and opinions.

3. Establishing clear guidelines and protocols to prevent biased reporting and ensure that all perspectives are represented fairly.

Alternatively, if PBS is unable or unwilling to make the necessary changes, I believe that defunding the organization should be considered. It is our tax dollars that support this institution, and we have the right to demand that our money is used responsibly.

I want to emphasize that my intention is not to stifle free speech or censor opinions. Rather, I am calling for fairness, accuracy, and accountability in our publicly funded media. I believe that a well-informed citizenry is essential to a healthy democracy, and it is our collective responsibility to ensure that our media institutions serve the people, not special interests or biases.

I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss this matter further with you and explore ways to restore the public's trust in PBS. As a taxpayer, I believe it is essential that we hold our publicly funded institutions accountable for their actions and ensure that they serve the people, not special interests or biases.

I am confident that with your leadership and commitment to transparency and accountability, we can work together to create a more balanced and objective media landscape that truly serves the American people.

I would like to request a response to this letter, indicating the actions you plan to take to address the biased coverage by PBS and ensure that our publicly funded media outlets maintain the highest standards of journalism.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Sincerely,

Jaimie Dean Burnette
